Apart from its very presentable look, it is resistant to almost all of the common sources of wear endured by quality flooring. Ceramic is resistant to fire, moisture, abrasion and thermal change.

Porcelain - Porcelain tiles are ceramic tiles with a water absorption rate of less than 0.5 percent that are used to cover floors and walls. They can either be unglazed or glazed. They are generally made by the dust-pressed method of a composition that produces a dense impervious fine-grained tile.

There are many different varieties available: clear, acid-etched (matte), painted-back (coloured and glossy), recycled, etc. Glass is impervious making it ideal for wet or constantly submerged areas. Most popular are the smaller mosaics usually used for accents or borders within a backsplash or shower surround.

Slate - Slate tiles are often used for interior and exterior flooring or wall cladding. Tiles are installed and set on mortar and grouted along the edges. Chemical sealants are often used on tiles to improve durability and appearance, increase stain resistance, reduce efflorescence, and increase or reduce surface smoothness. Tiles are often sold gauged, meaning that the back surface is ground for ease of installation. The popularity of use of slate tiles at home, both for exterior and interior use is greatly attributed to its aesthetic value. Its distinctive surface offers a great variety of design and color, all of which are natural. Another main feature of slate tile, which makes it perfect for bathrooms, is its capacity to endure extreme hard wear.

Sinks for Kitchens, Bathrooms & Bar

Stainless Steel - With the versatility of today’s steel, a stainless steel sink may very well be the best option for homeowners when it comes to remodeling or designing a kitchen. Not only is it extremely cost efficient, but a stainless steel sink is also as attractive as sinks made of other materials. Possibly the number one advantage of a stainless steel sink is that it is easier to clean than other types of sinks. This is especially true for a seamless sink, because it has no cracks or crevices for bacteria and other grime to hide in. The stainless steel sink also retains its appearance from the day it was installed when it is properly cared for. We offer a large selection of overmount, undermount and zero radius (16 & 18 gauge) stainless steel sinks to suit any project.

Solid Surface - If an attractive one-piece look that provides easy cleanup is important to you, a solid surface sink may be your best choice. Another benefit of these types of sinks is that they’re quite strong and have been in use for many years. The non-porous solid surface will resist stains and will not hold bacteria making them safer for your family. These sinks are made separately as under mount sinks for use with natural stone or quartz countertops. Often times, however, these sinks are made to be an integral part of the solid surface top. This seamless connection also prevents leaks or cracks where water can cause mold or bacteria to grow. If you take care of your new sink and maintain it properly, it will look new for many years.

Apron – The apron kitchen sink is also referred to as the farmhouse kitchen. This is because these sinks are usually found in farmhouses. However, you don’t have to wait to own a farmhouse to get this sink. It will go well in a kitchen that aims to channel a rustic, country look and feel. Apron sinks are also differentiated from other types of sinks in terms of the materials used to make them. There is now a large selection of materials for making apron kitchen sinks, including chrome, nickel, brass, and marble. They are known to be durable, so you can count on a kitchen apron sink to last a long time.

Porcelain – Porcelain, also known as vitreous china, is a common material for sinks of all styles, for installing in bathrooms and kitchens and for modern or traditional aesthetics. Compared with stainless steel, glass or stone, porcelain offers several advantages, both aesthetically and practically, regardless of the look, size and color palette of your room. Compared with stainless steel sinks, porcelain sinks won’t become corroded or discolored, nor will you need to wipe them carefully to avoid water spots. Some large porcelain sinks that are designed for kitchens incorporate a dish drain section, streamlining the process of washing and drying dishes and keeping the workspace tidier.

Glass - Glass sinks are generally made up of solid tempered quality glass. This particular glass quality is such that it would be resistant to minor cracks and shocks. Glass sinks are available in many unique shapes, designs, and vivid colors. Glass sinks also offer additional benefits when it comes to appearance and hygiene. By its very nature, glass is much easier to keep clean, it is more capable of resisting scratches and stains and is impervious to all kinds of liquids.
